Hi Snoweh,
Im sorry you are still having 0 byte image issues.
I just completed installing a fresh 1.3.4 version of Compress PNG for WP on one of our clients sites( WP v4.1). I was able to successfully compress JPEG and PNG images, using both methods (automatic on upload, bulk compress via media library) of both new and existing images on their server. This is after local dev, staging, and 3rd party client successful testing of this plugin.
The most common cause of this issue is, existing 0 byte images need to be reuploaded before they can be compressed again via Compress PNG for WP.
At this point i would like to know more about the environment you are having issues running this plugin in.
What i know about your environment:
Compres PNG for WP v1.3.4
WP v.4.1
Additional Information Requested:
Are the images new or existing to your WP media library (previously corrupted 0 byte images HAVE to be reuploaded)?
What other plugins are activated?
What Hosting Provider are you using?
Did you get a free TinyPNG api key and if so what is it?
Is there any error message displayed in the media library under the column ‘Compress PNG for WP’, or is it just a corrupted ‘blank’ image that gets displayed?
