I’ve installed “Disable/Remove Google Fonts” with version 1.1.2, but when I run gtmetrix against my site, I am still seeing Google Fonts loading. Here is that report…

The following URL is still loading and taking up 603.7ms of my load time…

I also see this GSTATIC URL that is taking 358.1ms on my site…

Anyhow, I was hoping to stop these gstatic fonts from google with your plugin, since people have said this plugin should stop these fonts from loading.
Anyhow, if you can please look into this, that would be great.

Hi @dailycdev,

This is happening because the plugin ‘WP Floating Menu’ is adding the fonts using the ‘wp_print_styles’ hook instead of ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, which is technically incorrect.

However, we can account for this in the code so I will release an update today which solves this problem.

I updated the plugin to v1.1.3 and am still seeing one of the fonts.gstatic.com fonts still being loaded and taking 494ms of my loading speed.That font url is…https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/sourcesanspro/v13/6xK3dSBYKcSV-LCoeQqfX1RYOo3qOK7l.woff2The GTMETRIC Report that you can see this from is here…https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.dailycdev.com/RnBTDbCE
Thanks for getting rid of the other fonts.gstatic.com font from loading. Hopefully, this other one can also be stopped.Thanks.-Paul Gee

Hi @dailycdev,

It appears there is still one font being loaded (Source Sans Pro) by the theme (Customizr). Unfortunately because of the way the theme is built we can’t remove that font.

It may be worthwhile creating an issue here – https://github.com/presscustomizr/customizr/issues
