The error indicates that there’s an issue with the cURL library in your server and this is not specific to the plugin. You may need to contact your hosting provider and provide them with this error message and they should be able to fix it for you. It’s likely that the cURL library needs to be updated.

Alternatively, you may consider switching to a different mailer option. In some cases, we find that only a specific mailer/API will run into issues on a site while other options will work just fine.
