Hi I have a question about woocommerce, managing stock of a proudct that i have listed as variable product…

I sell pet food and i package them to order by weight. i let my customers choose from the variable product list, a set of pre determined weight i’d like to sell

    example: 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 15 lbs, 20 lbs.

Is it possible to manage my stock so that i can list that i have 100 lbs of inventory at the root product level available to sell and if they buy from the 5 lbs variant. it will subtract 5 from 100 and if someone bought 20 lbs it would subtract another 20 from whats remaining?

look forward to hearing any possible solutions! thanks in advance!

    Hi @paperpandastacks ,

Out of the box, WooCommerce can’t manage stock for variable products centrally. I recommend taking a look at the Measurement Price Calculator extension. With this, you can add a central stock quantity based on measurement unit (weight in this case), and the inventory will be dedicated according to the quantity the customer purchases.

If you want to try it, we have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.
You can read more about our refund policy on our website here: http://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/

Do let us know if you have any further queries.
