Hi Swen, I don’t quite understand what you mean – could you explain the issue a little more?
Is this an issue specific to p2 or something related to overall WordPress functionality?
I think he is referring to the feature/bug where (since the minimum role to post is author) one author can change/delete the comments of another author.
See https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/p2-theme-restrict-author-from-editing-another-authors-comment?replies=20
(role set to author since anything posted by contributor does not show up)
I think the problem is not related to P2 per se. It’s a WordPress issue.

Also, I think it is easier to prevent deletion of comments when all users of the P2 theme are authors by disabling access to the dashboard (except admins). https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/remove-dashboard-access-for-non-admins/
I notice the current version of P2 does not allow comment editing from the front end.
Ok, I think there is a reason why the minimum level to post is “author” — because of email comment notification.

So if you are using P2 as a team communication tools as is intended, then each person * must * set up as author in order to receive email notification of comments to that post.
