Hi there,

the WordPress editor keeps adding “amp;” after every “&”.

This effectively breaks an iframe (the url there has some “&”), we really HAVE to embed.

How can we stop this?

We already searched for it & tried different ways – but all the soultions are pretty old.

Which editor do you work with? And how do you insert the HTML code into it?

@threadi, thanks for your answer.

I’m using the classic editor and add the HTML code in the text block.

It’s like: https://XXX&key=YYY&days=4&art=1&titlenav=1&theader=1&caption=1&info=1&liste=1&fsize=12

Also already after a preview and then after posting all the ampersands will be converted directly to & .

This is expected behaviour and cannot be changed. Why does the conversion bother you at all? In the frontend, the output with html-coded ampersand is the right way.

Theoretically, you could undo the encoding in the output of the_content using PHP. However, this would also undo other coding, which in turn can lead to misrepresentations and malfunctions.

Why is it your goal to prevent the coding in the first place?
