Hi,
Google has closed the “ajax.googleapis.com” used for searching the images. We are working in an alternative that will be available in the next update of the plugin, as soon as possible.
Best regards.
Hi.
Thank you, I’ll be waiting.

Rui FreitasHi,
I’ve reimplemented the Google Module, however, the new API requires some additional attributes, like the API Key and the search context (cx)
Best regards.
Hi.
Thank you for the update.
Can you please answer me a basic question?
I nedd an API Key and a Search Engine ID for the whole site or one for each plugin which asks for it?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi,
The API Key and CX are only needed for searching images on Google, because Google has deprecated and disabled the previous version of the API, where these data were not needed.
Best regards.
Hi.
Ok, I understand, but the question is:
I already have one API Key and one Search Engine ID, which I created for another plugin, but for the same purpose. I can use it or have to create both different?Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi,
Yes of course, the API Keys and CX are created in Google, and are independent of the plugin where are used.
Best regards.
Hi.
Sorry for my insistence, but now I’m lost.
I created a Project, an API Key and a Search Engine ID and entered it on plugin and it still says on screen:
“There are no images associated to the search terms”.Any idea? Can you give a little help, please?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi,
Please, be sure you have enabled the CustomSearch API in the credentials definition of the API Key.
Best regards.
Hi.
Thank you.
It was not enabled, but now it is and there are no changes. I believe the problem is mine. Therefore, I’ve checked everything and tried everything as far as my imagination allows, but there is always the same: “There are no images associated to the search terms”.
Possibly it’s something just ridiculous. 🙁
You never faced a problem like this?Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi.
Only one doubt remains: I created the key as “Browser key” that is correct?
Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi,
In the API Manager section of the Google Developers Console, you should be sure to select the “Custom Search API”. Look the following image:

and in the Custom Search definition, you should set in “On” the attribute: “Image Search”, and select the option: “Search the entire web but emphasize included sites” for the attribute: “Site to search” (it is possible restrict the search to specific websites), look the following image:

Hi.
It’s all like in your screenshots. It was, already.
Thank you.

Rui FreitasHi.
I made a test on
“Administration area: Click to access the administration area demo”
link: http://demos.net-factor.com/smart-image-gallery/wp-admin/post.php?post=35&action=editand the result is exactly the same: “There are no images associated to the search terms”
exxcept for Picassa and Flickr
Thank you.
Best regards,
Rui FreitasHi Rui Freitas,
Could you create a ticket in my private support page with the screenshots to the API KEY section, the credentials, the CX and the settings page of the plugin in your website, please?
