    Hi,

I installed the plugin about a month ago, it was working fine for a few weeks…
Suddenly emails stopped coming and then I tested it from the plugin settings page and indeed it does not work.

    —————-
    Error message is:

    Connection: opening to smtp.gmail.com:587, timeout=300, options=array

Connection: Failed to connect to server. Error number 2. “Error notice: stream_socket_client(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

Connection: Failed to connect to server. Error number 2. “Error notice: stream_socket_client(): unable to connect to smtp.gmail.com:587 (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known)

SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known (0)

    —————-

I’ve consulted G-Suite support (paid) and they’ve made sure all settings on that end are ok, then I checked with my hosting and as well everything seems fine.

When I turned off the plugin, emails are now sent again, but it’s still not good since emails are marked as spam (which is why the plugin is needed).

I saw this on another thread and wonder if it might be the issue:
“plugin should be able to send the mail via SMTP as long as wp_mail is being invoked.”
    – Does this require a programmer changing wp code?
    – Could it be the case even if the plugin did work for a good while

THANK YOU for your time !
    🙂

Hi, Something must have changed on the server. Can you please provide the content of the “Server Info” tab?

    Hey,
    thanks for replying!

You can close this thread, it turned out there was a JS error that somehow blocked all outgoing communication via site. Once that was fixed everything came back 🙂

    THANKS 🙂
