I’ve tried it on MAMP now and it’s worked ok. It’s really odd. I’ve seen the behaviour like this when there’s caching but not without.
Anyway, if you want to try an alpha of 1.4.0 to see if it solves your issue you’re welcome to, I’ll put a link below. What you’ll need to do is uninstall the current one and add this via the zip (or just overwrite in the file system), then go into the settings and there’s a new bit called “caching”, select the “Cache bypass” option and then see how that works for you. This option essentially runs it totally on the Front End. Mostly curious to see if this sorts your local issues. This isn’t 100% tested yet, but should be tomorrow.

I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!
btw, I don’t know where you’re located, but if it’s USA, I appreciate you responding on July 4. I worked half the day before I realized I have the day off! That’s what happens when you work from home, I guess. 🙂

Haha, no I’m UK based so no day off for me. But I’ve done that myself before!
I did a bit of digging and MAMP may have caching by default – it’s been a while since I’ve used it as my dev environment but I found a couple of bits on Google about it – though my own install of it didn’t seem to have any issue.
I’ve gone through that I’d been working on and found a few issues (mainly IE), so I’ve fixed those and but them into a beta version which is on the link below if it’s of help. It’ll probably become the official build by the end of the day too.

Update: the 1.4 alpha version works perfectly!
Very strange since I have no caching plugins on the sites and no caching that I know of on MAMP and when I installed Bitnami WP I did not install Varnish as part of the package so as to avoid any potential automatic caching issues.
It seems less like a caching issue and more like a cookie-refusal issue, though, doesn’t it? I don’t know. It’s awesome that you know, though.
I will keep using the 1.35 version on the live site, but if it ever breaks like my localhost, it’s great to know I have this 1.4 alpha version at the ready to replace it.

It is really odd, especially that it’s only local. It does seem like it may not be doing the cookie/session right, but it’s strange that I’ve not come across it before :/
Great that the alpha is working, as I say the Beta fixes some issues in IE, and one I saw where the page title was always “Age Verification”. It also fixes the uninstaller, so that works now too 😀
As we have a solution, I’ll close this thread – but if you have any other issues or requests do let me know.

Ah yeah, I’ll use the beta version of 1.4, then. Thanks!
