We recently changed plans with our hosting company and they migrated the site. Since then we are no longer able to process payments as it comes back with the following error:

I’m sorry to hear that you are seeing that 403 error following the migration to your new host; I appreciate you getting me up to speed on what you’ve tried on your end to resolve this.
Sometimes we see this error due to some of the connection data not properly carrying over; in your dashboard, can you please navigate to /wp-admin/options.php, search for “payments_poynt”, and check that the fields are populated? This error leads me to believe that either the serviceId or siteStoreId may be blank.
For security, please do not add any information such as IDs or API keys from this page to the forum; can you tell me if any of the fields you see are blank?All the best,

Sorry for the delay in getting back. There are *no* “payment_poynt” options in the options.php file at all (actually no payments_anything)

Thank you for getting back to me! It’s odd to see that metadata is not displaying whatsoever, and could be indicating that the plugin didn’t carry over completely in the migration. Would you mind visiting Plugins> Installed Plugins, deactivating then deleting our plugin, and then reinstalling it?
Once that is complete, can you run a test transaction and let me know if things are working as expected?

I believe that we will find the answer in the options.php list still; since searching for payments and payments_poynt did not yield any results, can you search via Ctrl+F (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+F (Mac) for wc_poynt_is_active and let me know if it indicates yes or no?
Ultimately, I may need to refer you to phone or text/ chat support, as these forums limit what information I can see about your GoDaddy Payments profile, but I’d like to see what that setting indicates.

The complete absence of any “poynt” entries in your options.php file is definitely unusual and suggests that the plugin isn’t fully initializing or storing its configuration data properly after the migration. This would explain why you’re getting the “STORE_DEVICE_NOT_ACTIVATED” error – the plugin can’t authenticate because it’s missing the critical connection metadata.A few questions to help narrow this down:
1 When you reinstalled the plugin and the API key/Application ID were still saved – where are you seeing those saved? (WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > GoDaddy Payments?)
2 After reinstalling, did you need to re-authorize the connection with GoDaddy at all, or did it appear to still be “connected”?
3 Has your site URL changed at all during the migration (including HTTP vs HTTPS)?
Since the plugin settings appear to be saving somewhere but aren’t creating the expected database entries, I’d recommend:
1 Try disconnecting and reconnecting your GoDaddy account completely through the plugin settings
2 Check with your hosting provider to ensure there are no database restrictions or caching issues that might prevent the plugin from writing to wp_options

That is where they are appearing yes.
2 After reinstalling, did you need to re-authorize the connection with GoDaddy at all, or did it appear to still be “connected”?
There is/was no option to “re-authorize” or “connect”, the settings are there with no other connection options
3 Has your site URL changed at all during the migration (including HTTP vs HTTPS)?
The url (including protocol) remained the same after migration.I will try to “disconnect” the account and, if that fails, I will contact the hosting provider about any file writing issues.

As I expected, the hosting company was useless — kept pointing fingers at the plugin (even though I pointed out that it was working fine until they migrated it). I will try and delete all the poynt entries I find in the WP database (wp_options I believe), and reinstall the plugin and see if that works

Thank you for getting back to me! I appreciate your diligence in finding a resolution to this issue, and the follow up with those details.
Given the extensive tests you’ve run so far, this error may be indicating an issue at the GoDaddy Payments store level (such as the need to enter different credentials, an activation issue, etc), rather than within the plugin itself. I think that the best path forward is to contact the GoDaddy Payments team directly via phone or chat (accessible via your Payments dashboard) since they will be able to look directly at your account details to provide more insight.Can you please let me know how that goes?
