Hi,
I use the free CSS editor from SiteOrigin for that kind a thing.
Works easy and produces the correct code!

Thank you! this really works and is very intuitive.
Because this is marked “resolved” does that mean I should start a new thread for the same topic? I have tried SiteOrigin but my header and nav pane are so messed up, I can’t figure out how to fix it. I am using Storefront with the Boutique child theme and am putting my changes in the Boutique’s functions.php file.
I wanted a bigger header but now my nav pane runs along the header and the nav pane is hovering above the main content. I don’t know where to start.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Usually its a better idea to start a new topic.
If you are using Boutique, you should probably be better off posting your issues in that theme’s support forum. It is a child of Storefront, yet will have some differences..
If you do not know where to start, here are some pointers:
Always create a backup so you can revert back if something goes wrong.
Remove all custom code to see if the header is back to normal.
If so, try to make the changes with the Custom css editor from SiteOrigin.
You probably messed something up with custom code..
If this does not help, I suggest you ask for help in the Boutiques support forum.
