Hello, I hope you are well

I have a site that is getting weird 404 errors.

    An example of 404 errors:

    site.com/old/wp-admin – site.com/new/wp-login.php

    site.com/oldsite/wp-admin – site.com/new/wp-login.php

    And many similar addresses

And it is interesting that these pages cannot be redirected!

    please hepl me,thanks.

    Hello @itsarman,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please confirm if you’re getting those 404 errors on the Rank Math 404 monitor? If so, please note that we only report the 404s and unfortunately, we do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor: https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/#advanced-404-monitor

That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

If you want, you can exclude the URLs from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#exclude-paths

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Hi thanks.
The advanced monitor is active and the origin of these 404s is usually from the site itself (does it look like someone is doing this on purpose..

    Hello @itsarman,

The screenshot you shared doesn’t seem to work.

As we have mentioned earlier. We do not have information on how or why those 404s are generated. You can try to fix these errors by following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

If you want to block out access to bots or users who are trying to access the URLs, you can use a service like Cloudflare (https://www.cloudflare.com/). Cloudflare is a web security and performance service that can protect your site from malicious bots and attacks.

We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
