Hoi my emails look like this?
https://puu.sh/sZL9R/2d714aecfa.png
As you can see i have: [email protected]; namens; MyFoodBox <[email protected]>
How can i change this?
-
I already filled in the settings From Adress and name in?
I’m not sure what would cause your emails to look like this, although it could be another plugin. Please try the new 1.5.4 release and let me know if that still happens. Thanks 🙂
Oke the wordpress thing is fixed but it still looks like this https://puu.sh/t1N1N/a1911d97a4.png.
But is it possible to not have “[email protected] namens” ?
but just “MyFoodBox <[email protected]”
@funkyj4ever I think another plugin is overwriting the from details and making your from info look like that.
Please try this release and let me know if it fixes things for you: https://github.com/mailgun/wordpress-plugin/archive/sjohn/1.5.5.zip
Nothing changed, but i only want to have this: https://puu.sh/t3vJR/de8d57a0e5.png in green, and not the red before it.
@funkyj4ever Do you have any other plugins installed that could possibly be mangling the from address information?
I deactived all the plugins, and still it looks like this?
@funkyj4ever if you disable all plugins (except mailgun), remove “from name” and “from address” settings from mailgun config, and disable “override ‘from’ settings” and then send a test email, like a password reset or a comment notification, what do the headers look like?
Oke did that, test mail from mailgun looks like this. [email protected]; namens; WordPress <[email protected]> https://puu.sh/ta2D4/f0333755c8.png
And test mail from contact form
[email protected]; namens; test <[email protected]>
https://puu.sh/ta2SL/5453057b57.png
I dont get it because i had it being normal like this… But did not use mailgun then.
WordPress <[email protected]>
Oke when i disable mailgun it is normal again…
@funkyj4ever can you have WordPress send one of these emails to [email protected]? I’d like to take a better look at the message headers.
Oke i have send a test mail.. maybe twice haha.Settings are no override and nothing in from address and name..
@funkyj4ever I talked to support and I think we’ve got a solution!
What you’re seeing in Outlook is “On Behalf Of” notation because your sending domain does not match the from address. In your case, the sending domain is
www.myfoodbox.nl, but your from address ismyfoodbox.nl. Try using[email protected]as your from address in the Mailgun plugin and send another test email.Wow that worked!
@funkyj4ever awesome, glad to hear 🙂
