Strange message in admin area

Today, when I opened the dashboard I found this: https://imgur.com/a/PNuS5 . Worried about a hacking attempt I tried to see what page would “get it now” link lead to and noticed it was Master Slider plugin page (within my installation). After analyzing and deeming it not harmful I tried clicking it and it was indeed Master Slider plugin page, but no differences, ads or anything different was there. So I wondered and searched about the term “Salam”, found out it is an Arab(?) word, but I don’t have such language pack configured anywhere in my installation nor in my browser.

I then went to the WP plugins page and noticed Master Slider had an update pending, I performed it and the message was thereafter gone. What happened? Is it just a message asking for an update with a wrong translation?
