Strange problem – missing admin toolbar in chrome

So I’m having a weird problem. In chrome, the admin bar is missing. In IE and Firefox, it is not. So I obviously thought it was just a caching issue, but I’ve both used forced refresh CTRL+F5 and gone into options and cleared all cache data from there. Still, no admin bar..

Any ideas what the problem might be with chrome? It worked before, not sure why it is gone now.

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

Yes, even with default theme and all plugins disabled. Same problem. Works fine in FF and IE.

I can’t see any obvious issues. What version of Chrome are you using? Have you tried using another computer?

I’m using Chrome 32.0.1700.102. Latest version. I tried with chrome on my android, and the toolbar works there. So I guess I gotta re-install chrome on my PC.. Weird problem.

Ditto for Chrome and I can see the admin bar just fine when using 2014. Can you check using another computer?

I tried on android, I don’t have another PC here. I just tried to reinstall, but that didn’t work!

I tried it on android, and it works there 🙂 It is the PC version that doesn’t work :p

Understood. Since it’s working fine on my PC but not yours, this would seem to imply that the issue is specific to your PC’s Chrome install. Have you removed all extensions?

Yeah, safe to say that it is my install that has gone bad. I have no extensions, so I just tried to re-install chrome, which didn’t work.

Sorry but I can’t be of much help from here – other than to confirm that you should be able to see that admin bar. 🙁
