• Hi there, I’ve been trying to add a small bit of code to my child theme header.php file. When I go to “Appearance > Editor” and select “header.php” I can see the code and a small comment I added for testing purposes <!– Test –>. But when I look at my live site and view source, neither the code nor the comment is there. It’s honestly the strangest thing. (and no, there is no caching issue), and I’m beginning to suspect a hosting issue. Before I investigate that option, is there anything in this theme that would prevent a child header.php from being modified?

  • Hello @creeser

Could you paste your code here ?
Also, give a link to your site, it will be easier for anyone to help you.

    Hello @creeser,

Could you please confirm if your child theme is currently active?

The child theme is active. If this isn’t a known issue, I’m going to assume there’s server caching that I am unaware of. It’s happened before where a client has contracted with a security service who has cached the site in such a way that it needs to be cleared through their interface.
