Got a strange problem that I’m hoping someone could shed a little light on – didn’t see anything here on the forum though.
Longtime client has been using CC for a few months on her own and we decided to integrate it into her website with this plugin. Pretty soon after, she began getting several “unsubscribe” emails from top customers and even family members (none of whom actually wanted to unsubscribe). It’s tough to put any rhyme or reason to it, although a few of them are folks who registered for classes online using a different plugin. (I know, I know – it’s the other plugin’s fault 🙂
Any thoughts on why this would be happening? Anything we might do to try and troubleshoot? My client spent about an hour on the phone with CC today and didn’t get any resolution, so I hope someone can help here – thanks!

This is happening to me as well. We had 10 unsubscribes in a matter of 10 minutes (all one minute after the other), and one of them was me. I know I didn’t unsubscribe, and when I asked the others, they said they hadn’t, either. Constant Contact says it’s definitely not on their end, and the only other variable would be the plugin. I’d love to see an answer/suggestion on this perplexing problem. I’m wondering if it has to do with a conflict of logging in to a private part of our site, since the unsubscribes were all people who have permission for the protected pages. Many thanks.

Constant Contact has been alerted to this problem and will be working on it tomorrow. I would recommend sending your username and the email addresses affected to [email protected]

Looking for a solution to mysterious unsubscribes myself. Ironically, one of the unsubscribed email address was my own! I have been able to deduce that there is a connection between being unsubscribed and placing a test order in my new WooCommerce shop. Your plugin is in the footer of the order page and the email address used for the order is the same as the CC Mailing List. The time stamp for being unsubscribed and placing the order is the same. This happened to myself and another person who was testing the shop for me.

I am not able to remove myself from the Do Not Mail list, which CC is telling me is a global issue on their end, but they can not speak to why I would be unsubscribed in the first place, suggesting it is an issue with the Constant Contact API plugin.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

As I posted above, this is an issue with Constant Contact itself – Constant Contact has been alerted to this problem and will be working on it tomorrow. I would recommend sending your username and the email addresses affected to [email protected]

Constant Contact has fixed this issue – please contact them with your list of people you believe were unsubscribed accidentally.

Thanks for looking into this and making sure the problem got fixed, Zack. Much appreciated. I’ve had no problems since the first round of unsubscribes.

    HELP!

I installed the plugin on 3/15/2013. Since then, we have lost hundreds of members to our “Do Not Mail” list. I contacted CC last week, but they couldn’t offer any solutions and boldly recommended that I contact each and every single member and ask them to re-submit their Email through Constant Contact and click the activation link in an automated Email.

As a membership organization (Chamber of Commerce), we cannot afford to lose members off of our mailing lists without their own permission.

    Has anyone discovered a solution?

    Thanks in advance.
