Hi,
If you have any caching plugins installed, you must configure them properly for it to work. Try disabling all other plugins and switch to default theme and see if the problem persists.

I think it was some caching issue. First thing when something does not work should be to install XAMPP and WordPress locally and install the plugin on base theme. If it does work – it means the problem is elsewhere. So turning off plugins, checking logs, etc. will help to track down the issue.
