• We have a problem with the polylang (1.7.8.) String translation in the settings of polylang in the backend.
Firstly I wanna highlight that we are very happy that this plugin exists. We are actually working to have our website set up with around 20 languages. Right now 18 languages are set up so far in the back-end but only 5 really contain content. The others are in progress.

    The Problem:
When I am changing specific widget or theme texts in the backend “String translation” (german: Übersetzung von Sätzen) these changes will erase if I push the ‘safe’ button below. Right now for each language the specific strings are the same and in English. Thats not very bad, but since we have a static startpage it’s not possible to change the startpages language.
Could the problem be connected to our usage of many languages? Or can it be changed with getting into the config’s?

Another question is how can I include an English Site on my page into the f.e. Spanish Site without the whole page swithes back into the english plugin?

Thank you in advance for your responses!

    Hello

these changes will erase if I push the ‘safe’ button below.

Did you have some strings translation with htlm or script?

Did you deactivate *all* your plugins except Polylang and try to re-save your strings translation?

Another question is how can I include an English Site on my page into the f.e. Spanish Site without the whole page swithes back into the english plugin?

Sorry I don’t understand your request. Could you be more specify?
