Hi Wally22, I’m assuming you’re asking this question in relation to the Excerpts and Thumbnails add-on, in which case, any questions related to our premium add-ons need to be sent via a support ticket. This forum is for questions related to the free core plugin only.

Having said that, the note underneath the filter in our documentations explains that “the part that says ‘<b><i><p><span><img>’ is what specifies what HTML tags are allowed. So the function will strip all tags that aren’t those b, i, p, span and img tags. You can add or remove any of them as needed. So you can remove the <img> tag and any others from the filter as you deem necessary.

    ok understood. Thank you!

    Hi There,

This is a related follow-up question: What is the best way to strip html tags from titles?

A number of RSS feeds – for example Google’s feed – use <b> </b> to highlight the keyword in the title. This looks horrible and makes the feed pretty much unusable.

What is the simplest / best way to strip out these tags?

For the excerpts & images add-on I have read how to strip tags from excerpts here: http://docs.wprssaggregator.com/strip-tags-from-excerpts/ but this does not seem to cover the title issue.

    Many thanks for your help.
