Strip specific shortcode and keep the content inside

    There is a way to delete a specific shortcode, maintaining the text inside?

    For example: in this case [dropcap]A[/dropcap] I would like to eliminate the shortcode maintaining the “A”, or any other letter inside.

    You could just update the shortcode so it simply return the content.

    The shortcode does not work because it was part of the old template. Any suggestions on how to delete the dropcap shortcode maintaining the text inside?
