• I posted 2 reviews and when added shortcode to the footer it is displaying reviews ok but when tested with Structured Data Testing Tool it come up with this fault.

Failed to normalise the rating value.
Your rating value was out of the default range, you must provide best and worst values.

    please see screenshot

(just close the login box to see screenshot)

Also if i click to see single post with reviews activated — all is fine however when I display same post on homepage all is gone and only blank post displayed.

    Any help please ?

    anybody here ?

I am having a somewhat similar error on http://structuredfoundationrepairshouston.com

The plugin does not supply the required range of review ratings i.e. 1 – 5

    Same problem here: http://www.charpentier-dutchlanguagetraining.nl

I thought it was because I only show one review on the main page at a time in a widget area (limited to 250 characters, with a “read more…” button), so maybe the plugin is not fully loaded (or something, I don’t know 😉

But looking at deforeman his website (which shows more reviews) that can’t be it. Unless it has something to do with the “read more…”button”.

On the normal review page I don’t have this structured data fault by the way. ( http://www.charpentier-dutchlanguagetraining.nl/reviews/ )

    ltam,

After seeing your “reviews” page complete with correct “aggregate” data I did some experimenting.

I “enabled” WPCR on my “customer-reviews” page rather than “inserting” the [WPCR] shortcode there. It works perfectly! Including provision of accurate “aggregate” data!!

Moving to my homepage, I eliminated the “read more” on every review by changing the shortcode to use SNIPPET=””. This made no difference as the “aggregate” error persisted.

I deleted the All-In-One-Schema plugin fearing a conflict – no improvement.

I “enabled” WPCR on my homepage and achieved nothing – none of the reviews were displayed.

I deactivated W3 Cache plugin also with no positive effect.

It also seems that inserting [WPCR] on a page when any other content is present fails – no visible reviews or ratings are shown.

My current conclusion is that the WPCR “aggregate” data problem lies within faulty implementation of its shortcode.

Current unsatisfactory status on my website is that proper Schema data CAN be achieved but NOT where i need it for high conversion rates – at the top of the left sidebar on my homepage.

Anyone know of an alternative reviews plugin that actually works?

Thanks for the info Deforeman. Still curious about a solution also 😉
