    I’ve run two scans, and each one seems to stop at 97%. Is there a way for me to simply scan my photo uploads from a particular year?

    Unfortunately no but there is a trick. You can open the file media-file-cleaner.php and look for this:

    $wpmc_exclude_dir = array( ".", "..", "wpmc-trash", ".htaccess", "ptetmp", "profiles", "sites" );

    In this array, it is all the directories which will NOT be scanned. You can basically add a lot of folders in there to avoid them 🙂 That will work.

    Let me know how it goes 🙂

    Thank you, Jordy! I think I found another workaround. I went directly into my contents folder and discovered that each of my images had 12-15 versions of itself. I’m slowly getting rid of each one.

    I appreciate your getting back with me!

    The plugin should have seen that, but maybe because there are too many files PHP couldn’t handle it and crashed? If you are curious, you can have a look in the PHP error logs 🙂

    Of course 🙂 Have a nice day!
