Stuck at Done Preparing plugins

    I experienced a problem that the files seems completed imported to my local server since all the files and folders showed up in my WordPress folder. And the folder size went from the original size 43MB to 5.46GB.

    However, the WordPress wp-admin editor displays a message “Done preparing plugins” and stuck with a spinning wheel animation.

    Usually, this happens when there is a plugin/theme incompatibility with the new environment. You can enable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php then load your website. It will show you some type of error. Fixing this error will resolve the issue.

    Hi,

    I tried the WP_DEBUG in the wp-config.php using a tutorial but wasn’t able to get an error log. I just deleted WordPress and all the folders on my local server. I reinstalled WORD all-in-one migration and all-in-one migration unlimited extension. Now it has been stuck at the “Done updating settings.” message for 30 minutes. Should I keep waiting?

    No, this is not normal.
    How large is your file? Maybe try to increase max_execution_time in PHP.
