I have made several attempts to have this process works but it always gets stuck on the creating archive.

What I have noticed is in the upload folder a new folder is available within there are three subfolders (Plugins, SQL, Theme) as I watch the process I see plugins being added to the plugins folder – it gets to about 12 or 13 and as I reload the file manager folder I see plugins disappearing and another being added and this seems to happen never getting past 12 or 13 plugins in this folder – a loop so to speak.

Nothing ends up in the sql and nothing ends up in the theme – I left it running overnight and still same thing and the SG Migrator says Creating archives the website is so small – I even made an attempt at deactivating all the plugins except this migrator. and still same thing 12 / 13 in upload folder and the loop starts.

Really hoping can help otherwise its a bit of a job to migrate this

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey there @mads1976 ,

This step usually takes a few minutes to be completed.

Please, check files and folders permissions on your account, disable any security plugins, and check the .htaccess for any leftover or deny rules which can cause the issue.

If you still encounter any issues after that, feel free to reach back to us.

    Kind regards,
    Stoyan

    Hey All,

Just as a bit of feedback on what was causing the issue – it was the Elementor plugin – both sites I was trying to move across had Elementor. One of the sites literally so small it was one page “under construction” – either it didn’t pull the Elementor plugin across as what happened with the one-pager site or it would get stuck in a loop of creating then deleting plugins even after disabling all plugins – I spent 2 days trying to use the plugin with Elementor and in the end, the time investing just wasn’t worth it – so what I ended up having to do was for the major site was to use another plugin for migration which worked brilliantly and all done under 20 mins. Which in hindsight is what I should have done when it first failed – Happy to have just got there in the end.

But if you are having issues and you have Elementor maybe just save yourself some time and use a different migration plugin

@mads1976 just curious what the other migration plugin is that you used? thanks.
