Thanks for reaching out @nicosinya. So we can ensure you can complete set up, or advise you further on this, please share the full compatibility warning, along with your Site Health information. When I mention full compatibility warning, some of the errors that appear alongside a compatibility warning include the below:
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
We received your Site Health information form response, many thanks @nicosinya. Unfortunately it didn’t include full details of the error you’re facing with regards to any compatibility warning, or error you’re facing. From reviewing your Site Health information I don’t see any obvious cause, with no known plugins that impact Site Kit behavior active. Based on this, given I don’t see any issues from the checks I performed on your website also, please share the full error you encounter if any, or ideally, a screen recording of your experience. You can use a service such as Loom or Zight to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.
Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
Appreciate the additional insights @nicosinya. Based on your description, I suspect and invalid callback URL when setting up Site Kit. As it looks like you’re using a standard WordPress directly URLs, please follow the steps below, which can help rule out third party plugins or browser related issues:
- Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
- Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
- Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
- From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
- Attempt to set up Site Kit once more.
If the same issue occurs, whereby you land back on the Site Kit dashboard, please share any browser console errors when you land back on the dashboard, along with the site URL. Feel free to share privately once more if preferred, using the same form. Thank you!
Thanks for confirming you’re encountering the same with the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin active. Given that the same does occur, I suspect an invalid callback. Please go ahead and perform a plugin reset (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit), which will ensure hopefully ensure your records are updated.
Let me know how you get on after attempting the above, or ask if you have any questions. Thank you.
As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
