Stuck on 'Upgrading database…' when updating WordPress

    Hi all,

    I was updating a site yesterday and it seemed to get stuck on ‘Upgrading database…’ but the front-end is ok, so I re-uploaded the core files (taken from a backup) and imported the older database to get it back to what it was.

    I tried the update for WordPress again but it got stuck yet again but ‘Copying the required files…’ which was affecting the front-end (maintenance mode).

    So I tried a manual update, that seemed to work ok but 1 plugin (SEO by Yoast) seems to crash the site when it is active…

    Any ideas?

    I had repaired the database and that seemed to finish the WordPress update so that was sorted but I was still facing an issue with the SEo plugin.

    I had a search online and found some other people facing a similar issue with this plugin and the lastest version of WordPress. I have installed a new SEO plugin and all is working fine now.
