Hi Stephen,
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with that.
Are you referring to the link in the “Student Welcome” Notification email?
@stephanwsw,
1) If this is widespead you have aggressive server caching setup and your new users aren’t being recognized because of database query or object caching, see our caching faqs here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/caching-issues-faqs/
2) If one or two users are reporting this but the vast majority have no issues (or you can’t recreate the same issue) you’re dealing with users who cannot remember their password and blame technology. I don’t mean to sound rude but users who cannot remember their password and blame software EXIST. If you can’t reliably recreate an issue then it may be that your users are forgetful.
Hope that helps,
it is widespread and it happens on every login form. (user + passwort combination cannot be found).
I tried to deactivate my caching plugin but it didnt work either.
In the FAQ: “it’s likely that your server has database or object caching enabled. Disabling these caches should resolve the issue.”
How can I do that?
When the user tries to log in via /wp-admin it works! But just not on the login form from the plugin…
solved – plugin limit logins was the problem.
