The above can’t mess-up anything and is adding support for css-variables.
Messed-up fonts how exactly?
Which theme are you using? Is it a premium theme or a free theme?
The last update added an implementation for GDPR-compliance. Google tracks user’s IP addresses and collects personal data without the user’s consent which is now illegal (will start getting enforced in a few days on May 25). As a result we can no longer use the Google CDN for google-fonts and therefore had to implement another solution. So Google-Fonts now get downloaded in a folder on wp-content/webfonts and they are served from your own server instead of Google’s.
Is the wp-content folder not writable by any chance? That would explain not being able to download the fonts – if that is indeed the issue you have.
Please advise and provide more details – something beyond “messed up fonts” that will help me understand what happens.
A link to your site would also be helpful

It is premium blogman theme and yes, lost the google “poppins” font. wp-content is writable…
Version 3.0.31 was just released, can you please check if that fixes your issue?
Closing this one since a bugfix was already released for the webfonts issue.
