Styles in caption are ignored

I have several galleries using this plug in.
I had captions with some bold <strong>, some <em> and some </br> that worked great until the most recent update. Now all of that is ignored and not rendered to the page.

Any way I can get this feature back?

Oddly enough it displays correctly in the backend page, just not on the live page.
