Styling not being applied

Staging site currently protected so you need:

User: pixelhappy
PW: artisans-guild

I’ve only just started with Mega Menu but when I update styles in Menu Themes, they are not being applied on the front end.

I’ve set the top menu items to Uppercase and modified the hover color for both top level and all sub menu items to a light green.

I do not see these changes on the front end. Have cleared Mega cache, site cache, and viewed in multiple browsers.

I’m using the Astra theme.

Before diving too deep into Mega Menu and perhaps going pro, I just want to ensure that I can style the mega menu via mega menu settings.

Hi Yael,

Thanks for posting a link.

It is a combination of issues, but mostly down to the query strings being missing from your page assets (maybe you have an optimisation plugin that is doing this?).

If you view http://roomy-text.flywheelsites.com/wp-content/uploads/maxmegamenu/style.css (the URL that is being loaded by your page) you will see the date is Monday 23rd July 2018 05:17:59 UTC

If you view the same url, but “bust” the cache (probably a CDN) by adding any query string, i.e. http://roomy-text.flywheelsites.com/wp-content/uploads/maxmegamenu/style.css?do-not-cache you will see the date is Monday 23rd July 2018 06:08:29 UTC

So, you either need to clear the CDN cache (and do that each time you update the menu theme/CSS) or re-enable query strings on your static resources.

Thanks so much, Tom, for all the details.

My guess is that perhaps this is a Flywheel staging site issue as there is no CDN applied to the site currently.

I have cleared Flywheel’s cache but no luck.

Hmm, okay, I’ll sort it out.
