Styling the Archive

Hi,

I’m rather new to wordpress and php. I would like the archive thumbnails to be displayed in a line instead of in top of each other.

I have tried with the ‘display: inline’ string in the css but did not get it right. What is the easiest way to get the archive in a line?

Suggestions?
