Hi! thanks for your support. Is there a way to have categories in categories?
    for example:

    Lighting equipment (category)
    +strobe flash lights(sub-category)
++profoto brand lights(sub-sub-category) “how do you attach the profoto adapter?”
    +constant lights
++arri lights (how do you not burn the screen?)

I like the idea of sorting by category.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Adam,

Since the FAQs are a custom post type, you can create sub-categories and assign posts to them. However, on the front end, sub-categories are treated just like categories. So, if you have “Group FAQs by Category” enabled, the sub-categories will show at the same level as the parent categories, not nested.

    Hi Etoile,
Im sorry I’m confused. take it off “Group FAQs by Category” and thats all?
    Cheers!

    Hi Adam,

To clarify, if you have “Group FAQs by Category” (in Settings->Ordering) set to YES, then the categories/subcategories will display, but will appear at the same level like this:

    Lighting equipment
    + Question 1
    + Question 2
    + Question 3

    Strobe flash lights
    + Question 4
    + Question 5
    + Question 6
    + Question 7

    Profoto brand lights
    + Question 8
    + Question 9
    + Question 10

    Constant lights
    + Question 11
    + Question 12

    Arri lights
    + Question 13
    + Question 14

If “Group FAQs by Category” is set to NO, the questions will display in a list without any category names, like this:

    + Question 1
    + Question 2
    + Question 3
    + Question 4
    + Question 5
    + Question 6
    + Question 7
    + Question 8
    + Question 9
    + Question 10
    + Question 11
    + Question 12
    + Question 13
    + Question 14
