You need to log in your host and create a subdomain name from there
Are you trying to setup wordpress multisite in a manner which uses subdomains? That is a different question…… Need to see what exactly you are trying to do

Not sure!!!!
Basically I have my main site, and then I want a ‘members area’.
I want the members area to be seperate from the main site – so the main site will not link to the members area (and vice versa).
Not sure how to do this?
A membership plugin will work there are quite few around see which one works best for you.
