BTW. i am the host of the site.
Subdomain = WordPress. SubdomainS? = WordPress MU.
Go to SETTINGS > PERMALINKS and configure.
Support forum for WordPress MU is at
http://mu.ww.wp.xz.cn/forums/
Best way to search the WPMU forum is at
http://mu.ww.wp.xz.cn/forums/search.php
Good luck.
what did you mean by
Subdomain = WordPress. SubdomainS? = WordPress MU.
?
And what do YOU mean by “get my subdomains in the permalink”?
The question above was whether you use WP MU or this simple WP?
When you write a post after the title, there is a box for permalink: it automatically puts (domain.com) and is blacked out so you can not change the first part but only the ending (/page1.html).
I need to change the whole URL not just the ending. I will be linking to different URL’s in the title post, which point to my subdomains.
I am using wordpress 2.6
Please let me know if i am clear on my question.
thanks
The question is clear (now) but WP doesn’t work like that. You cannot do what you described.
There is no plug-in or editing to bypass this?
Try searching for some “redirect” plugins in the Extend section.
page-links-to I just installed this plugin and so far it seems to be redirecting very smoothly.
