    Observed behavior:

    • reCAPTCHA v3 loads visually in the form
    • When submitting the form, it fails with a verification error
    • The following appears in the console: Uncaught (in promise) Timeout (C)

    Current configuration:

    • Plugin: Forminator Version 1.47.0
    • WordPress: 6.8.3
    • Theme: Dentalist child by cmsmasters version 1.0.6
    • reCAPTCHA v3 configurado con claves válidas

      Browser console errors:
anchor?ar=1&k=6Lf2Le…mRoydml0YWxlLmNvb…:1 Uncaught (in promise) Timeout (C)
anchor?ar=1&k=6Lf2Le…mRoydml0YWxlLmNvb…:1 Uncaught (in promise) Timeout (z)

      Steps I’ve already tried:
✅ I verified that the reCAPTCHA v3 keys are correct
✅ I confirmed that the domains are authorized in Google reCAPTCHA
✅ I tried incognito mode and different browsers
✅ I cleared all cache (browser, WordPress)

I need help identifying why reCAPTCHA v3 does not complete verification and generates a timeout.

    Hello @sofiaan

Hope you’re doing well today! Sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with Forminator ReCaptcha.

Thank you for sharing details about the checks you’ve already done so far. I tried the ReCaptcha v3 on my lab site with the Forminator v1.47 and could not replicate the issue. The verification worked fine, and the form was submitted. Also, I could not notice recent reports about the issue. Please note that the token expiry time for ReCaptcha is ~2 minutes, and in case the form is large, the issue might appear. We already have an improvement task to review and fix the issue. However, at the momen,t I cannot share an exact ETA as to when it will be fixed.

That said, could you please confirm if your form is large? If not, ideally, the issue should not appear. In that case, since I am unable to replicate the issue, it seems to be site-specific.

To proceed with further troubleshooting on your end, could you please perform the tests below after taking a full backup of your site –

    – Please deactivate any other plugin(s) that you may have on your website that have the ReCaptcha module enabled, and check if the Forminator ReCaptcha works fine. If the issue remains, proceed with the below step to test conflict.

    – Please deactivate all the plugins on your site except the Forminator plugin and check if the issue still appears. If not, please activate one plugin at a time and test the issue until you replicate. It will narrow down the plugin that could be conflicting with the Forminator ReCaptcha.
Here is a guide that you can refer to: https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#conflict-test

If none of the above test yeild any positive result, please export the form and share with us so that we can import it on our lab site and troubleshoot the issue further.

    To share the form export
    – Navigate to the “Forminator -> Forms” page in your site’s back-end
    – click on a little “gear” icon next to the form in question
    – select “Export” option
    – copy given export code and paste it at https://pastebin.com
    – include link to that paste in your response below.

Note: this export will not include any data that is already submitted – they’ll stay safely on your site and we don’t need them anyway.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh

Hello again, I have already performed the tests mentioned and the error persists.

Searching through previous threads, I found a message from three years ago related to a form in an Elementor pop-up window, and I wonder if this has anything to do with my case, since I have the form in a floating form (pop-up window).

When I tested the same form on a normal page, it worked correctly with its recaptcha.

However, the thread indicated that the error would be fixed in version 1.17 of the plugin.

I don’t know if they haven’t fixed it yet or if they have, and I thank you again. This is the first time I have used this plugin.

In any case, the client told me not to use forms, as they are more traditional and do not use email, preferring to schedule appointments by phone.

Thank you very much for your response. Apart from the error, I really like your plugin and will continue to use it in the future.

    Hello @sofiaan

Indeed, we fixed a bug where forms wouldn’t load under Elementor Pop-ups. The issue shouldn’t happen if you have the latest version of the plugin. I’m afraid I was able to replicate this bug, so, whatever happened to your form may be related to the form itself or the components of your site.

Anyway, I see you are not using this form, so you are not longer having issues anymore, but if you happen to have issues, feel free to create a new topic.

    Kind regards,
    Jair.
