My “categories” link has a submenu and up until a few days ago it was rendering atop the other menu items, now it is dropping under them. To keep this from happening visually, I have dropped that menu item to the bottom but I do not wish it to live there.

Any suggestions?

If you’re not already using a child theme, then you should get one up and running (so you don’t lose that modification each time the theme gets updated)
