I have visited the page in question and just submitted it. I received the

message in turn, no errors in browser console too. It looks like it worked for me. You could check if I got subscribed (the adamwpmu….gmail email address; it’s only a testing address so I don’t respond to messages there) as I’m not sure if I’m supposed to receive any confirmation e-mail in this case.
The embed that I checked was on home page. When you try to submit it – it’s literally that nothing happens or there’s some additional message? Are you logged in or logged out when you test it and if logged-in – is it an admin account or some different account? IS it account that already has been subscribed to that list before?
