    Hello, I’m totally new in blog’ging world and don’t know anything about programming stuff:) but I do my best couple of weeks reading articles, forums and etc.

    I tried add subscribe widget, made some test and want to know about possibility to changes things in letters that subscribers get’s automatically after I post new post.

    Letter – [Subscribe]Confirmed subscription…
    1) is it possible to change the posts list under “great content you might be missed”? I would like to put other my posts, not suggested. How 3 articles selected automatically(by visitors amount…?)

    Letter – [New post]
    1) how I can put my picture beside the title?Like now only some kind icon left.
    2) “read more of this post” – possible to change the text?
    3) URL under the text showing without text slug but numbers – ….com/?p+1400. How I can change it to the original URL (…com/i-can-help)?

    Thank you very much for help:)

    Can you clarify or provide a screenshot of the “great content you might be missed” that you’re seeing? Once I have that information, I’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    1) Setting your site icon should take care of that particular item:
    http://jetpack.me/support/site-icon/

    2) The “read more” is part of core WordPress. See this Codex article for more information:
    https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Customizing_the_Read_More

    3) Can you clarify where you’re seeing the ?p=1400 – is this in the subscription emails or somewhere else?

    Let me know if you have any questions. Otherwise, I’ll wait to hear back from you!

    As well is it possible to change “Subscribed” letter texts which starts “Congratulations…”? (example with link above – 2015/06/11):)

    Thanks for those screenshots – that helps!

    For the 11.jpg email, the suggested posts and pages are automatically generated based upon your site’s stats at the time of the subscription email going out. What it will show is the top three most visited pages/posts. Since this is dynamically generated on our servers – where the emails get sent out – there’s no way to customize the display of the “Great content you might have missed” list.

    Also, you wouldn’t be able to modify the “Congratulations” greeting either.

    With the 21.jpg email, here are the following settings you would need:

    1. To add your picture to that, you need to set a photo for your connected WordPress.com profile – this is the account you logged into to originally authorize the Jetpack connection and is different than your site login. Once you’re logged into WordPress.com, click the default profile circle on this page to set a new image: https://wordpress.com/me

    2. The “Read More” is another element like the ones above that are set on our server and cannot be modified.

    3. You should check your site’s permalink settings – the emails use whatever permalink structure you set in your WordPress install.

    I hope that clarifies things!

    Hi, thank you for clarification, but still something not working properly with subscribing plugin:(

    1) I have several e-mails and I tried to subscribe the newsletter with all of them. But after e-mail input, it not shown the “success message” even if I entered such in widget area. I tried subscribe in IE, Mozilla, Chrome – everywhere the same – no success message but e-mail are counted and I see them in subscribers list
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/success_message.jpg

    2) After receiving automatic letter, one link is not active (even if other links in letter is)
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/url.jpg

    3) I tried to see how looks e-mail with response to comments when you want them to follow. I don’t know why it showing another account not me? Mentioned username and me are administrators of my website but posts writing only me and showing him. How I can change it?
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/response.jpg

    4) I want to make some changes to the jetpack subscribing design, I found information how to do that but when I go to .php file it’s written that it’s not active. How it’s possible if I add widget, getting letters and etc.?
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/php.jpg

    Responding to your advices I have some additional questions:)
    5) adding picture – in previous comments it was written that I need to make website icon, I did that. But now I need to make profile picture? How many log ins I need to have, can I use the same? Like 1 log in for support forum, 2 for blog, 3 for wordpress in general?

    6) permalink – I checked and everything is correct in my settings, or should i check it somewhere else?:)

    Thank you for help and advices:)

    looks like Jetpack subscribe plugin doesn’t like me 🙁
    I posted new post and my subscribers got such text in the letter
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/new_post.jpg

    original post looks in website like this:
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/useful-information/

    what should i do in a future to avoid such texts?

    But after e-mail input, it not shown the “success message” even if I entered such in widget area.

    It seems to work on my end; I see the text after subscribing:
    http://i.wpne.ws/br48

    Could you give it another try with a brand new email address?

    2) After receiving automatic letter, one link is not active (even if other links in letter is)
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/url.jpg

    That also works on my end, in Gmail. The automatic linking is handled by your email client, so I’m afraid we don’t have much control over that.

    3) I tried to see how looks e-mail with response to comments when you want them to follow. I don’t know why it showing another account not me? Mentioned username and me are administrators of my website but posts writing only me and showing him. How I can change it?

    Mentioning users won’t help. You’ll need to enable comment threading under Settings > Discussion in your dashboard, and make sure you hit “reply” under the comment you want to reply to. That should do the trick.

    4) I want to make some changes to the jetpack subscribing design,

    That’s not possible I’m afraid. The emails are sent from WordPress.com servers, and you consequently can’t change the design of the emails on your end.

    What would you like to customize?

    But now I need to make profile picture?

    You can set up an author profile image here:
    http://gravatar.com/

    Since you created a WordPress.com account to connect Jetpack to your WordPress.com account, you can use that account to log in. As long as the email address matches your email address under Users > My Profile in your dashboard, you’ll be all set!

    6) permalink – I checked and everything is correct in my settings, or should i check it somewhere else?:)

    I’m afraid you won’t be able to change this. We use numerical permalinks because we don’t know the exact permalink of the post when we send it to your subscribers from WordPress.com servers.
    The numerical permalinks should redirect to the full permalink, though. If they don’t, I’d suggest checking your .htaccess file to make sure it includes the necessary redirect rules.

    I posted new post and my subscribers got such text in the letter

    THANK YOU guys for professional help!

    3) Unfortunately I didn’t find where enable the comment threading
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/comments.jpg

    4) I want my subscribing look like this. But I’m not sure if i can make it, like it mentioned “inactive” (picture in previous comment)
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/subscribe_look.jpg

    5) I never created account in Jetpack, the guy, who helped me with launching, did all the main things (installed Jetpack and etc.). Can it be that because of that I can’t log in, like he loged with his user and pass details? I tired to put my e-mail to log in page, that is mentioned in my website account – but it’s showing error.

    3) Unfortunately I didn’t find where enable the comment threading
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/comments.jpg

    It seems like it’s already activated. This is the setting:
    http://i.wpne.ws/bqnt

    I also see a “Reply” button after existing comments, that allow me to reply to specific person:
    http://i.wpne.ws/bqxS

    Since my 2 comments on your site are pending moderation I can’t show you how comment notification emails work when I click on that reply button, but that should work.

    4) I want my subscribing look like this. But I’m not sure if i can make it, like it mentioned “inactive” (picture in previous comment)
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/subscribe_look.jpg

    Oh, so you’d like to customize the design of the subscription form? That can be done with CSS. For example, to add the “Count me in!” button on the same line as the email address, try pasting the following css to your theme stylesheet or to your custom CSS editor available under Appearance > Edit CSS in your dashboard:

    .jetpack_subscription_widget #subscribe-email input {
    	float: left;
    	width: 60%;
    }

    .jetpack_subscription_widget #subscribe-submit input[type="submit"] {
    	float: left;
    	padding: 0.65em 0.1em;
    	width: 40%;
    	margin-bottom: 3em;
    }

    Here is how it looks:
    http://i.wpne.ws/bqxl

    Of course, you’re welcome to adapt the code to fit your needs!

    5) I never created account in Jetpack, the guy, who helped me with launching, did all the main things (installed Jetpack and etc.).

    If that’s the case, you’ll want to create your own account using the email address listed under Users > My Profile in your dashboard.

    Hello,

    I already approved both your comments 🙂

    4) unfortunately in stylesheet there is no “jetpack” even word, what I did went to plugins subscription css.
    http://lifeinbigtent.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/subscriptions.jpg

    I deleted what is written now, and putted your suggested codes, but nothing in my website changed:( so I copied the original code version back

    5) when I want to add new account (“register”) they ask me to create a new website, but I don’t need it:) so how to create only profile:)

    I would strongly recommend against editing plugin files. If you do so, your changes will be overwritten in the next plugin update.

    Instead, just add custom CSS at the end of your theme stylesheet, or in your custom CSS editor.

    how to create only profile:)

    Here is a direct link to only create a profile:
