My wordpress site blog.drwile.com suddenly started responding very slowly beginning 03/28/2018. WP and all plugins are on the latest versions. The issue did not appear when the last updates were applied and nothing was updated contiguous to the slowdown.

I disabled all plugins on the site and began adding activating and deactivating one at a time. Subscribe2 HTML is the culprit. I currently have it disabled to overcome the problem.

I’ve scoured the faqs and forum but nothing I’ve found has solved the issue.

Do I have to just switch to another plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In what way is your site slowed? Page loads I would presume, but is that admin or front end? And when you are logged in or all the time? I have never seen this issue myself, is anything being logged by your hosting provider?

Page loads of the front end. All the time (regardless of admin logged in).

php and apache logs are showing no errors.

I can only think this is a conflict or an incomplete update of Subscribe2 from an older version that continues to try updating.

Loading your site just now, apparently without Subscribe2, it’s still pretty slow for me as there is a lot of JavaScript overhead loading in the footer.

    Thanks for your insight
