Subscribe2 just quit working

Subscribe2 worked okay for about 6 months. It wouldn’t send an e-mail with the full post text and pictures. That was okay because we hadn’t gotten around to upgrading to the paid version that is supposed to send the full post (maybe).
What was unforgivable is that Subscribe2, without warning, stopped working. And the software disappeared with all our registered users who had been receiving e-mails about new posts. I have no idea where those addresses were stored or why I could not download them before the software vanished.
The Subscribe2 authors are bad news bears. Do not buy any plug-ins written by these rascals.
