@gadgetjoe,
Do other scheduled events work well on your site – things like plugin and theme update checks? Install WP-Crontrol to check if these events are regularly being called. It will also tell you if there is an issue on your host with the default WordPress cron system. Of that is the case the fallback system needs to be used by adding define( 'ALTERNATE_WP_CRON', true ); to your wp-config.php file.
I have installed WP-Crontrol and everything seems to be working as it should. The Scheduled Posts still do not trigger an email. Any other ideas?
@gadgetjoe,
Are you excluding any categories in Subscribe2->Settings under the Registered Users tab? I’ve just tested a scheduled post on my sites and it sent emails fine.
I am not excluding any categories.
Theme Devine v 1.2
Plugins:
Akismet 2.5.9
Go Daddy Quick Set up 1.04
Google Analytics for WordPress 4.3.3
Social 2.9.2
Subscribe2 9.0
Twitter Tools 3.0.4
Twitter Widget 1.0.4
Welcome to WordPress 1.0
WP Crontrol 1.2.2
Not sure if that helps.
@gadgetjoe,
Are you using the GoDaddy plugin as you are hosted with them? GoDaddy are historically pretty good at configuring their servers to break Subscribe2 🙁
All of my sites are hosted at go daddy I use subscribe2 on multiple sites. This is the only one that seems to give a problem.
we have another scheduled one for tomorrow. Maybe it was a fluke or some other issue.
Do you think that the Social plug in could be the problem?
@gadgetjoe,
I’ve never seen that one before. I use Artiss Social Bookmarks without issues.
I am disabling none-the-less and will monitor tomorrow’s post. Also, I will contact Godaddy to see if there is something on the Server that needs to be changed.
Will report back.
