Subscriber List Restarted

    I’ve been slowly building a subscriber base for years. Recently, activity on my site increased, which I’m happy about. But my subscriber list count dropped to a much lower number around the start of 2025. Jetpack AI suggested that it might be on the Cloud, but I only saw the lower number there.

    I think the same thing happened with Mailchimp to a lesser degree.

    Could someone help with this topic? I would love to get my subscribers back.

    Hi there, @cherrylb,

    I checked your site, and while Jetpack is running well (which is good news), I noticed that a full sync of your site has been done a long time ago.

    This might not be the root of the issue you reported, but it might help keep the data in sync. I then launched a new sync job, which should complete in around 24 hours. After this time, please check again your subscribers and let us know if you noticed any changes.

    As for the Mailchimp similar issue that you noticed, can you tell us a little more about that? Were you using the Jetpack Mailchimp block on your site, or are the two mailing lists related to each other in some capacity? Did the Mailchimp folk explain what happened with the subscribers over there?

    Also, did you change your site URL or used a staging site at some point, where the subscribers could be “stuck” in?

    We hope to find some good hook to figure this out once we have more information 🙂
