    I received your email indicating that my subscription to
    slider was to expire in 7 days. So I went to the website and
    immediately ordered an upgrade to the 1 year business version. I
    figured out afterwards that I should have gone to my account and
    selected the renew option.
    Question: is there a way to add the additional 7 days to my account
    … and do I have to update my plugin? Thanks.

    Thank you for posting your question!

    Unfortunately, the rest 7 days are not added to the new updates version of the slider.
    Once you buy the new version you should update the plugin to be able to use the latest features.
