Subscription button not functioning

Hello,

I have not been able to get the subscription button to function. I have confirmed that I have a paypal business account and have successfully created a subscription plan in paypal in case the paypal code was needed in creating the subscription bottom through simple membership. I am getting the message “things don’t appear to be working. Try again later message,” when I click either the pay with PayPal or with debit card buttons.
