It is not currently possible directly, but as a workaround, You can consider https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/email-subscribers-advanced-form/active to allow subscribers where you can create post notifications based on the group (Author) name.

Also, you can create the post notifications as given in https://www.icegram.com/documentation/es-how-to-create-and-send-post-notification-emails-when-new-posts-are-published/
