Subscription enhancement request

I would like to request a Subscription filter by post format, in addition to the current one by category. I would like to not send a subscription notification for aside posts, but I would prefer not to have to pick a specific category on those posts in order to keep Jetpack from sending subscription notifications for those posts.

(Even better would be a generic filter that takes a query $args array that would let us specify whatever we wanted, similar to widget_posts_args for the WP built-in Recent Posts widget.)
