I’m in the process of setting up my website. This is my first ever site and I really don’t know much about anything involving WordPress or site building in general.

Now, I took a break from tinkering to read some related articles (looking into Genesis Framework themes) and when I flipped back to my dashboard tab I changed something in the Site Address and WordPress Address columns of the settings (One of those “What does this big red button do?” moments, instant regret). When I saved I received the following errors:

“Warning: require(/home3/walterstring/public_html/wp-includes/load.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/walterstring/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 19

Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home3/walterstring/public_html/wp-includes/load.php’ (include_path=’.:/opt/php56/lib/php’) in /home3/walterstring/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 19”

And now I cannot even switch screens in the dashboard without being redirected to this error screen.

Reaching the admin site from new tabs does nothing but going to this screen.

Going to the site URL itself does technically load the page, but it’s horribly out of whack.

If I make changes on the Settings screen that I’m stuck on, it will save and then load the error screen again.

Because I can make and save these changes I did reverse the changes that I made which resulted in the error in the first place, but it doesn’t fix anything.

What should be my next course of action?

I can’t change screens within the dashboard or anything.

I’m not sure if it’s relevant but now I’m getting a “your session has expired” box every few minutes – which wasn’t appearing before the error.
