SugarSync 401 error Authorization Required

    I’ve configured a backup job, entered my SugarSynch login and password, but it will not authenticate.

    SUGARSYNC: Http Error: 401 Authorization required.

    Checked SugarSync independently, and can’t figure out what else I need to configure to get the backup to publish to a folder I created in My SugarSync called WORDPRESS.

    Any suggestions?

    Developers – Please check this again. I just joined SugarSync and I too use long passwords for added security.

    Mine was 20 values. And it would not authenticate. Then i saw a previous post

    And Chad had said to change it to 8 values and It works. BUT can you sync with the SugarSync folks to see if its your plugin or their systems.

    Having only 8 digits for a password is So Very WEAK.

    Oh another feature I would LOVE to see is zip the archive with a password lock! That would ROCK HARD! Cheers Mates

    Hello,

    the Sugarsync Password will only needed for authentication. It will not stored. After authentication BackWPup has become some keys that stored.

    That means you can switsch the passsword back after authentication.
