Suggestion: Delete cache when URL changes

When changing the URL of an existing post, the cached version of the post remains in place. As a result, when you try to access the old URL – it doesn’t redirect to the new URL. The only way to prevent this from happening is for me to manually delete the old URL cache.
How hard would it be to modify the code to automatically delete the old URL cache when a URL changes (and a cache exists)?
